Getting Started

Conduct an Informational Meeting - At this initial meeting, our goal is to set expectations for both parties. We will listen to your needs and encourage all of your questions. The result is clear alignment on the approach, deployment and feedback results.
 

Assign a Point of Contact - This is our "go to" person in your organization. The participating organization should assign a contact person with strong communication and project management skills. NCPE will ensure open and honest communications.
 

Establish the Assessment Profile - Our staff will walk you through the set up process. Together we will define the appropriate version of the Assessment, the applicable Assessment criteria, number of participants and the demographic you want tracked for evaluation purposes.
 

Create the Assessment - The output of step 3 becomes the input for step 4. NCPE will ensure the Assessment is created in a timely fashion based on all requirements defined. The Assessment will be made ready online for you to access at your convenience.
 

Complete the Assessment - NCPE sends out an email to all participants notifying the Assessment is available and invite them to log on and complete it. NCPE will handle all the administration. Our point of contact is continually updated on progress via status updates. NCPE will send out periodic reminders to ensure maximum participation.
 

Close Out the Assessment - Once the assessment is completed, NCPE will send out a confirming email to all participants thanking them for their participation.
 

Performance Indicator Feedback Report - NCPE delivers the Performance Indicator Feedback Report within three days once the Assessment has ended.
 

Next Steps - Evaluate the data and plan your organizational improvement strategies and initiatives.

How do you measure quality?
How do you know you are doing the best that you can?
Our Organizational Assessment Tools are an innovative approach that utilizes the Criteria for Performance Excellence to measure organizational performance. A cross-section of staff completes the assessment that will provide leadership with a feedback report to begin improvement planning. Identify those vital few deployment gaps, strengths, and opportunities for improvement within weeks, not months.
Where do you begin with improvement planning? Improvement planning begins by knowing your current performance levels - the As-Is operating conditions. Organizations all over the world use NCPE’s Organizational Self-Assessment tool to measure their performance against the Criteria for Performance Excellence.

Find out how well your systems and process are understood by your staff. Engage them in an opportunity to learn more about the continuous improvement process and a higher level business criteria through the use of the assessment tool.
How long will the assessment process take? There are 44 questions in the assessment with lots of opportunities to include comments. The assessment should take no more then 1 – 2 hours to complete. 

The assessment timeline takes approximately two weeks to complete. Once finished you will receive the Performance Indicator Feedback Report within three business days.
How many employees should we have participate? Involve enough employees so the data is statistically valid. The more the merrier! Be sure to include representatives from all levels and all departments of the organization.

What do we do with the feedback? • Analyze the results
• Form a cross functional team to gain consensus on significant few issues to be addressed as opposed to the trivial many
• Ensure that the items to be addressed are in line with the Leadership's “Care Abouts”
• Form teams to address each of the items. Provide them the tools and resources to be successful. Some training may be necessary.
• Complete a plan, do, check, act cycle of improvement for each item identified
• Measure and monitor results
• Repeat!
